Metal, green helmet from World War One with chin strap.
History
Holland resident Herman Van Ark was born in the Netherlands in 1889. He emigrated to the US in 1901. Herman worked for the City Street Dept. and a furniture factory. While serving in WWI, Herman was gassed and, possibly, injured in the leg. He died in 1970.
