Orange satin ribbon with gold print that says; "W.R.C State G.A.R. Encampment 1910, Holland, Mich. At the top is a flat metal 'wooden shoe' with "Souvenir" printed on it. Suspended from shoe is a round disc embossed with a picture of a spinning wheel.History
This ribbon belonged to Holland resident John C. Dyke. John was born in Holland on 11-21-1868 to Jacobus and Francina Dyke. He married Christiana Damson.John played a role in the construction of Holland's city hall building on River Avenue. He passed away in Holland on 10-25-1919.
