Description
Gown: 58" long 28" waist, 36" bust; sheer beige formal with jewel studded waistline and shoulder and neck accents; Georgette crepe; brief sleeves, and bocide and shirred; tag is back of neck reads "Jeane's, Holland, Michigan"; hem of skirt is 208" around.
History
Dress was worn by Ruth Keppel in 1941 when she played the violin at the Warm Friend for Crown Princess Juliana of the Netherlands when she visited Holland, MI. Ruth "knew only two days beforehand that she would be playing for her. I went to Jeane's which was the nicest dress shop in Holland and bought the prettiest dress they had."
