Description
Small beige hat; stiffened net, lined, edged with plush velvet material. Over that is a beige material fashioned into 6 points extending over top of stiff frame. At base of back is a bow of some material. Entire hat is covered with beige net.
History
Hat worn by Henrika Ver Burg (1910-1994), mother of the two donor’s, Stan Ver Burg and Theresa Ver Burg Kleis. Henrika worked as a baker for the Hekman Rusk Company in Holland, MI. She lived at 311 West 22nd Street in Holland with her husband Gerrit (1903-1980). Both Henrika and Gerrit are buried in Holland’s Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
