Description
Commemorative Medal, 'Philippine Liberation'. Suspended on red ribbon with blue and white stripes and tiny star in center. Wings enclosed a "Liberty" plaque with red, white and blue panels.
History
This medal was awarded to Holland, MI resident Milton D. Van Putten (1924-1993). Milton served in the US Army, afterwhich, he wprked in and around Holland as a sign painter. Milton is buried in Holland, Mi in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. His wife is the donor, Barbara.
