Description
Light cardboard, cream-colored with a print in brown of a pair of Dutch dancers (boy faces away). This is a woodcut print by John De Pree.
History
John D. De Pree was known as an expert artist and engraver. John made woodcut blocks to create prints of different colors and textures. He spent many years studying art. John has 3 brothers: Con, of De Pree Chemical Company, James and Jack. In February 1897, John was arrested as an alleged member of the Kingston gang of counterfeiters.
