Black velvet trimmed vest with clusters of silver beads over shoulders and around waist band. Round neck. Center front is purple satin stitch embroidery on each side of a geometric beaded design. Closes at left shoulder and waist.
History
Donor - Mrs. Carma Irwin. Mrs. Irwin gave the Museum 75 articles of clothing worn in the Holland area by her grandmother Dena Kamperman Steketee, mother Josie Steketee Coster, and aunt, Kate Steketee Knutson. The Steketee family owned the well-known Steketee's Department Store, and the clothing is all of high quality.
